SPIDERMAN 2
All right you crazy comic book fans the web crawler him self is back to battle the forces of evil while trying to keep a job and snagged the girl. A sequal to the 2002 blockbuster was no surprise to me. Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst have great chemistry together on screen. I think the reason Tobey makes such a good spiderman is the fact that you can believe he is that geeky clumsey Peter Parker and believe that he is the protector of the innocent Spiderman. Its the same complex with Batman if the actor cant pull off a Bruce Wyane or the actor cant do Batman the whole charcter development will be shot. This film has a lot more action than the first one and for the first time we see our hero take some crucial beatings at the hands of Doctor Octopus, as if that wasent enough Peter is having just about every problem under the sun from money troubles to personal relationships and that includes his love life. Mary Jane is back and as beautiful as ever and still has a serious crush on the wall crawler and she seems conflicted over her feelings for Peter, Spiderman and another guy who has just entered her life. I like the fact the love story between Mary Jane and Peter is played out a little more without taken away from the action. I do however think that the scenes with Aunt May are played out a little to much but over all it works. All i know is how do you beat a guy with 6 arms? Dr. Octo Octavis is one of Spidys archenemies from the comic book and from the cartoon and one of his most memoriable i mean how can you foget a guy with metal arms sticking out of his back. The CG arms rock and they look REAL! i tried to look for any flaws in it and found none a feat thats hard to come by these days. Alfred Monlina made a great Doc Ock he even looked like the comic book charcter to a certin extent. He's arrogence and his volatile personality made him one deadly guy, watching him beat the snot out of our hero with those arms was to good to be true the vibrent colors and the smashing special effects make this the perfect summer movie. This movie has it all comdey,action,romance and bad ass villians. Harry Osborn also joins the cast for the sequel as Peters best friend and the chairman of Oscorp. The death of his father has caused him some psychlogical damanged and has forced him to act out against his friend Peter who takes Spidermans pictures. The decline of their friendship will definetly be a set up for another movie (hint hint). This is the way super hero movies should be i hope all the other studios are taken notes. I suggest everyone get out and go and see the Spidey climb walls swing across buildings and get beat with huge metal arms. Theres 2 very big twist at the end so you guys better get your butts up and go see it and if thats not enough for you go and see it just imagine Kristin Dunst saying Go get em tiger in that sweet sweet voice of hers. i give Spiderman 2 5 out 5 stars way to go guys keep up the kick ass work.
